Date: Friday 17th of February 2012
Place: The Theater Museum, Helsinki

In Off The Record’s info section we wrote that ”We only invite bands or artists that we really like and respect. It doesn’t matter if they are playing indie rock, acoustic folk or even black metal.” Despite the fact that some of us are more into metal than indie music, so far there haven’t been any metal acts at OTR. Until now.

There are super groups and SUPER GROUPS. In our opinion Soen’s description should be written in capital letters since their members have earlier played in bands like Opeth, Death, Testament and Amon Amarth to name a few, and their debut album “Cognitive” was produced by David Botrill (Tool’s ”Ænima”, Muse’s ”Origin of Symmetry”…). In mid-February Soen were about to play their first concert…

…But this time we had an honour to be there before anyone else: Soen played a session with us only few hours before Friday night’s historical performance. Off The Record is proud to present: Soen – alive for the first time in history!

We want to dedicate this session in the memory of Tonmi Lillman (RIP).
